At Mays Prep, we understand that the quality of virtually every community is defined by the strength of its public schools. While the most important stakeholders in these schools are students and their parents, local employers and other business have a vested interest in the success of schools as well. Acting on both the need to enhance the quality of education and the desire to be an active social and community force, business and professional outlets have begun to embark on mutual arrangements that require a collaborative spirit.
Specific partnerships, such as those in which Mays Prep is apart, serve to support the mission, vision, and values of our school. Despite numerous challenges, we recognize the link between good schools, student achievement, and a prosperous economy. New Schools for New Orleans
New Schools for New Orleans is a nonprofit organization dedicated to achieving excellent public schools for every child in New Orleans. Founded in April 2006, NSNO hopes to build a system of schools, not a school system, by encouraging the schools to determine their individual and collective needs and by supporting them in their growth toward operational excellence and academic rigor.
Urban League of Greater New Orleans
Through advocacy, community organization and mobilization and program services in areas of education, economic development, employment and training, youth services and child and family support, the League's mission of helping individuals to attain economic self-sufficiency remains virtually unchanged.
